Meet the North American AKU Ambassadors!

This spring, we announced that we were looking for avid hikers, trekkers and backpackers to become part of the new North American Ambassador team. To our surprise and delight, our inbox was inundated with outdoor enthusiasts from all over Canada and the U.S. who wanted to be part of the AKU team. Our marketing department spent hours reviewing the applications to see who best embodied the AKU spirit. Today we are announcing the first eight members of the AKU North American Ambassador team.

These individuals embody the mountain lifestyle that AKU is known for and spend their time exploring, ranging from day trips to multi-day expeditions. Over the next 12 months they will work with us to help inspire and motivate other outdoor fans through blog posts, social media, and of course, on the trails. They are all very discerning when it comes to the gear that they use and understand the importance of high quality footwear when participating in their outdoor pursuits. Some of them have been loyal AKU customers for years and others are new to the brand.

This group of eight Ambassadors come from all over the U.S. and Canada and will be able to put AKU boots to the test in a variety of rugged and unforgiving environments and weather conditions. The team consists of three Canadians hailing from British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec. The five Americans are from Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee and Minnesota. There are two women and six men in the group.

As AKU strengthens its presence in North America, these amazing outdoor enthusiasts will share their experiences, photos and opinions about the AKU product and brand. We look forward to sharing their stories with you and hope that you find inspiration in their adventures and seeing where their AKUs take them.
