Trees not only have an impact on the environment, but benefit communities through increased economic production, mental health, social wellbeing, and community growth.
A tree is capable of producing oxygen, sequestering carbon dioxide, stabilizing soils, filtrating water sources like streams and rivers (which potable water filters can then extract), cooling down air temperatures by providing shade in hot climates which in turn lowers the demand for energy to power air conditioners. These are just a few of the benefits that come with planting a tree.
Planted trees provide an economic boon to the community by creating jobs, protecting farm land from erosion and investing in a sustainable future.
Every tree planting project involves a community that comes together to help plant the trees. It provides an opportunity for increased environmental education, increases social wellbeing and helps many people understand how important it is to preserve our natural resources.
Since 2014 One Tree Planted has helped plant over 30 million trees across the globe. One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature, biodiversity, and improve the social and economic wellbeing of project areas. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
