Most comfortable Boots I have worn straight out of the box. I have now put dozens of Kms on rock hard asphalt and one Micro Spike hike in the mountains. Blown away by the fit, finish and craftsmanship of the boots. Had them down to -23C and feet were warm. No hot spots, no heel slip no real break in period. Would easily recommend them to anyone.
I went for a 17 mile hike yesterday in my new Superalps. Secure on rough trails, roomy toe box, flexible enough, no heel lift, warm, and no blisters. Thank you AKU, I look forward to my next hike.
I am a field biologist and am often hiking off trail in difficult terrain, often jagged limestone and talus. These boots are sturdy and very supportive. After a week in the field they still look brand new. My only suggestion is that I would love to be able to get this boot in a non-Goretex version for hot weather. I am located in Arizona and I think these boots will be pretty hot in the summer.
